Homemade Jam from a Pyxie

This weekend is Kid 'n' Ewe (and Llamas too!). It's our very own small town, small scale fiber festival. We love it, cause it's all our own.

My MIL and sister-in-law, Pyxie, came into town yesterday just for Kid 'n' Ewe. Pyxie was a nice surprise since I had heard she wasn't coming. I find out she was in town as we were headed out to meet N's family for dinner. I got a text message from her asking if she should order dinner for us.

I called her a punk. Then she gave me jam. We're all better now.

This ladies and gents is some yummy jam. I'm not usually a big fan of jams or jellies. They're usually to sweet for my taste. But, this...oh this is just right. It's not too sweet and has just the right amount of tang to give the raspberry and plum a bright flavor that's perfect for breakfast.

She calls it Raspluma and I call it heaven in a jar. I had it with plain toast this morning and it elevated that toast to a new level. It really should be eaten with homemade buttermilk biscuits, but I've got other things to get to today.

Like buy yarny goodness.

Have a great Saturday and I'll post pictures from our adventures soon!
