Knitting On. . .

O.k., well there's not much to report. I'm still working on Orangina, but I'm just about done with the front piece and am getting ready to cast-on for the back. It's been a great knit. The pattern is easy and simple to remember and looks great. I've had to frog back a row here and there, because I forget a YO or something. Otherwise, it's been smooth sailing. I hope to have this finished within the next week or so.

As soon as that's finished I'll be ready to start my Counterpane Bag from Handknit Holidays. I got the book in the mail yesterday and have been staring at all the pretty pictures. It has some great photography and quite a few of the patterns have already caught my eye. Guess that means I'll have to get more yarn :-)

For now I'll just keep chugging along on Orangina and stare at the yummy Malabrigo yarn, in Autumn Forest, that I bought while on our recent vacation to Virginia. The color reminds me of the trees and mountains that we saw in Charlottesville. I just love all the green and copper in this yarn. While we were in Virginia I would get the wound up yarn and just stare at it and pet it. The husband would just stare and laugh. He knows how random and silly I can be, so I'm sure it came as no surprise.

I'm gonna keep it short for now. Hope everyone is having a great week! Next time I'll have to tell you about some of the podcasts I've discovered. I'm sure most of you know about them already, but some of them are great and are worth mentioning again. Until then you should check out Marly's podcast over at Yarn Thing. She cracks me up and has a great laugh. Go on over and support her new podcast!
