It's been how long?

Wow, I didn't realize it had been THAT long since I'd posted. Crazy how time flies! I meant to post on several occasions, but when I finally got the time to do it I just didn't. Bad me. Oh well, let's not dwell on that. Let's move on shall we. . .

Without further ado I give you Orangina!

Pattern: Orangina by Glampyre Knits
Yarn: Rowan 4 ply cotton
Needles: Knitpick Options size 3

Yeah, woohoo, I finished! Ah the sweet smell of completion, how I love thee! O.k. well I need to sew in the ends, but I'm considering this knit finito! It was a simple lace pattern that was easy to memorize for this beginner. However, after a while those size 3 needles were getting to me. I'm sure things would have gone much, much faster if I had been able to knit more frequently so it's not the needles fault. Sorry needles. So there you go my first FO on my blog.

I've already started my next project which is the Counterpane Carpetbag from Melanie Falick's "Handknit Holidays." As you can see this project is going much faster on those size 8 needles, even though I'm still knitting in spurts. I'm REALLY enjoying this project with all the purty scallops. I've even joined my first knitalong over at the Summer KAL-CAL Purse Roundup with this project. It's a joint knitalong and crochetalong. Knitters and crocheters all in one place, sharing the common love of the purse. Ah, how sweet.

O.k. well I feel better now that I've posted my Orangina pic AND my new project. I'm gonna try to post more regularly and at least keep this blog filled with some knitting progress pics. It is after all a knit blog! (note to self post on your blog!)

Have a great weekend and catch some knit time!
